Akron Marathon 2003
Denver, CO Oct 11, 2003 "56 Year Old Man crushes 29 Year Old Son in the inaugural Akron Marathon, Son consumes Great Lakes beer" After a close view of the Goodyear blimp from the start line of the 1st annual Akron Marathon, the race was underway. My dad was on pace to complete his 7th marathon (Marine Corp, Columbus, Disney ...) and I to complete my fifth. After jogging near the huge old building that blimps were once constructed in, we headed towards Firestone Golf Course, site of a world famous gold tourney...as we got closer to downtown Akron and the University of Akron, my left knee reminded me of the cliffs I tried to jump last year during ski season and got angry with me...after whincing for a few miles, I knew it was not my day. My mom, as usual, was right there on the sidelines to save the day. We jumped in the van and took off to watch my dad finish in the brand new baseball stadium in downtown Akron. Great Job Dad! Eiseman Hut Trip 2003
"Friends gathered from all over Colorado last month at the Eiseman Hut outside of Vail, CO. The hut sits at 11,180' and looks out at the amazing Gore Range. The cheap beer was flowing like the Colorado river and good times were had by all. We even had a quick 15 minute snow storm to get everyone pumped up for winter. Enjoy the pics!" -Mark T Eiseman View Sun shining on us Sunset View Schnell jamming at dusk Filling the valley with tunes Bon Hiver!!! Our friends are famous!
I keep getting pictures of our friends getting mention in various publications. I thought it was time I gave credit: Steffi makes the cover of Connection Magazine Many of you probably don't know Steffi, she is Brad's better half across the lake in Germany. We met her in Venice while on the Europe Cruise. Nice job Stef! Craig makes vail.com website A note from my buddy Craig (of RTP and Dave Painter fame): "Well after 2.5 years I finally made it onto the Vail.com web site. Although you would never be able to identify me without the full size photo. The pic is just outside the warming hut in Blue Sky Basin. This is pretty much the farthest point (several miles) from the town of Vail while staying in the actual ski resort. It just wouldn't stop snowing that day!" Rob and Karli get hitched in WinterPark
Nestled between the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park and the rip-able Berthoud Pass, is the place Rob and Karli found to be wed. As we drove up to the lodge at Snowy Mountain Ranch, we were greeted by a lost Mark, Laura, and Schnell. We all finally figured out where we were staying, drank down a quick Hop back, and headed to the wedding. The ceremony was held in an outside gathering area with a large cross framed by the mountains. It was a serene and peaceful ceremony..but when rob exclaimed, "I DO", in his NY accent, everyone knew it was time to start sippin' and a boogie-in'...
