Dead Dog Coulior - Gray's Peak, CO
"Dead Dog was pretty awesome. It ended up being about 9 miles and 3200 ft of elevation gain, with the couloir being about 2200 feet. It took us about 6 hours to make it in and to the top of the couloir. There was about 4-10" of new snow that was bonded pretty well to a consolidated snow pack, but there was a ton of frozen debris from old loose wet slides underneath, so we couldn't really open it up too much. It was still a cool descent and we were able to pretty much ski all the way back to the trucks, with only two sections of booting." - Pierce View Pix

Baldface
Chris Trogner and friends headed to Baldface, B.C. Canada to rip it up off the heli. They did just that. View Pix from chris: They had 10 feet of snow and crystal clear blue skies and the stability was the best they've seen in a while so we skied everything.† Every run untracked, a mix of bowls, trees, shutes and super steep sections...really intense , unbelievable skiing.† I've never had that many untracked deep runs.† After the first day both my thighs cramped up and I couldn't move...it felt great. We had two guides with our cat, one to lead and one to follow to make sure knowone got lost.† Both were amazing skiers and good friends of Craig Kelly's.† It turns out†he was†one of the original founders of bald face and his wife still works there.†† Our younger guide was by far the best skier i've ever skied with.† We watched him take incredible lines droping off 10-15' drops landing on small outcroppings then skiing off another 20 footer -†pretty amazing skier.
